This Colombian specialty coffee originates in the heart of the Huila region, one of the world’s most renowned areas for high-quality coffee, and tells a story of passion, female leadership, and sustainability.

Cultivation takes place at Finca La Colmena, led by Blanca, a recognized leader among local coffee growers who, over time, has supported and empowered many producers in the region. Having grown up among the coffee plantations of Pitalito, Blanca took over the management of the farm at just 15 years old, gradually becoming one of the most influential producers in Huila.

It is no coincidence that, for two consecutive years, her coffee was a finalist in the prestigious Cup of Excellence, confirming its outstanding quality.

Beyond Blanca’s passion, bees play a fundamental role within the finca: through natural pollination, they help make the coffee cherries sweeter, giving the coffee a balanced, harmonious, and distinctive flavor profile.

At the same time, the Arabica varieties grown here thrive in mineral-rich volcanic soils; in the mountains of the Cordillera, the climate and altitude slow the ripening of the cherries, allowing for a greater concentration of sugars and aromatic complexity.
